These are from my old church in Nashville (which I was the webmaster for),
written by Pastor Brad, and re-posted here by his permission. I post them because
I feel they may be helpful to others in their spiritual growth, and to offer some
information about myself and my background / doctrinal beliefs to inquiring minds.
Pastor Brad and Harvest is the church that originally "released me" / "covered me"
supported my move to Roswell and missionary calling btw, giving $100 per month to start.

Thank you so much for your interest in these papers.

The following section of this manual is called the Pastor's Position Papers. They are not the official doctrinal statements of the church, but simply my self-disclosure. As the senior pastor of this church, it is important that you know who I am and what I believe. Obviously, these beliefs will be reflected in my teaching, preaching and leading of Harvest International Church.

It is not necessary that you agree with each and every point of the various position papers to be a member at Harvest. There always will be "disputable matters" (Romans 14:1) until Jesus comes, but praise God that our unity is not based on coming up with all the same conclusions!

It is important, however, that after looking through these papers you can affirm their overall theological perspective and commit to support the vision and direction of the church. In any area where there is disagreement, each prospective member should pledge to participate in the life of the body without being divisive or argumentative.

Some of these papers will be very important to you, others may not. Do not feel that you need to process each of these papers with a "fine tooth comb." Some you may "speed read," others you may spend hours studying. The key is that you understand the overall message of each paper.

In the future, more may be added to this packet. I hope that these papers can be a valuable tool and resource for each of you in your own Bible study and in study with others.

One last thing-- Please remember that I am in process, just like you. I certainly have not "arrived," and retain the right to change my view on various subjects as I grow to understand more about our Lord and His Kingdom.
