Perhaps you've done it, too...

If you've known the threat of nuclear destruction
for as long as you've been alive,
then perhaps you have.

Call it Holocaust, Armageddon, or some baptism of fire
for a "new" human race - whatever it is,
I think most of us have shared the feeling
that "something's up" - and that
we haven't much time.

And so we dream of fire.

As children, it just scares us, and we forget;
but as adults it makes us very afraid
that we're going to hell...
And no matter where you are, you can't ever fully shake the feeling...
that the end is near.

Are you fighting the fire?
Is it killing you?
Or are you helplessly witnessing the devastation of everyone
and everything you've ever known?

Honestly, I think it's time we started discussing these things.
It's a signal I think -
something to let us know...
maybe there's still time...
Time to see the light.

From personal salvation to racial extinction,
every day we make those little choices
that we know are gonna add up... and sooner or later...
tip the scales.

And so... we dream of fire...
And so what?
We dream of fire...
So what? I sit here asking myself...

Maybe you should, too.
