See SITES I'VE MADE Note that I link here mainly to sites that I use, visit, find interesting, really really like, and/or know the person who maintains it - either personally or from online - and probably owe them a favor or two. You're welcome to ask but this page is not a link swap dealy type of thing. Unless I know you, I probably won't link back due to time and the inordinate number of requests. Mailing Lists I'm On I've been subscribed to this for about 5 years. Very useful for what's new and truly interesting on the Web, virus info and hoax debunking. Great resource for personal education, and I insist that if you've been online 2 years or less that you get it. Top Five - I laugh daily thanks to Chris White and his lists. Sometimes crude or offensive humor though, so those who are offended by that, probably will be if you join. Melvin Durai - Humor writer - there's probably funnier guys out there, but for some reason I subscribed to his weekly. The Week Magazine - The one magazine I actually subscribe to. "All you need to know about everything that matters." Losing My Religion I love material that truly challenges me, and forces a long hard look at modern churchianity. Won't say I agree with everything these guys say, but then I don't agree with everything I say either. Anti-establishment religion at it's finest - since Jesus anyway.
Michael Bunker's

John Miller's Chapel 42 You need to know: 501c3 designation for a Christian church is unbiblical, unnecessary under the U.S. Constitution; limits what we can say far beyond "endorsing candidates;" prostitutes us to the IRS and secular gov't by declaring that Caesar is Lord, and by asking permission to assemble, meet and preach; and one of many sure roads to apostasy.
"The Passion" & The 2nd Commandment Issues That Make Christians Squirm by Grantley Morris "If God... then Why...?" Great answers to honest questions. My Favorites - "All religions are the same / It doesn't matter what you believe as long as you're sincere." Read just those two Jesus Museum - Exhaustive archive of the freakiest religious freaks on the Net. I've been featured, not once, but twice! More orthodox (or tame) compared to the above I guess... Mark Jones and Mark Owens are 2 other Christians who write articles about whatever's on their minds, and are on my mailing list (a pretty good way to get a link here btw). And Jim Boorman, aka Missionary Jim - my really cool brother in Christ serving "Down Under" - read his adventures and support him online now. The Web Cattle Baron My Mon-Fri paying job. What, you think I actually make money at Alien Resistance?

Friends n stuff The Realization Engine by Jody Harris - HQ's very own computer tech has invented a system that could replace E-mail, discussion boards and blogs in one fell swoop. Check it out, esp if you're a sysadmin. Here's his professional site and his personal log. Also, I gave him my old domain, which has every link in Roswell NM. (Contact Jody or Linda if you need a site designed, AND are willing to pay people what they're worth. They've worked together, so you get the best of both the technical and the artistic worlds. But I don't really care to do it for hire, or especially for free.) TimandLadonna Long ago, in a city far, far away, Tim A Jones and I were two broke 20-something single guys attending the same church while looking for love and meaning in life. A computer geek when geeky wasn't cool, he posted my book and first webpage for me, and taught me about the Internet. Now Tim's married and makes phat cash as a network administrator, and (unrelatedly) fights to keep Tennessee Income Tax-Free. *And just fyi, the FEDERAL Income Tax is an illegal farce, btw.*
Doc Grotchman, aka Lori Minick. L.A. based artist and "iconoclast ecumenical," among many other equally unfathomable and unpronounceable things. www.harqn2.com is coming soon, so this spot is reserved for her. Click to enlarge this sample of her (often-called) healing art. For now, subscribe to her mailing list of "Quotable Quotes," rants, and RXes. Write harqn2@pacbell.net telling her "I need a fix Doc." psychomagnet Another grrrl I know without a website, but definitely needs one and has a link waiting. Ranking highly in my "Things I miss most about Nashville" list, but that's okay 'cos she's moved, too. Now a Hollywood music industry professional, currently touring with The Eagles. No lie - for pay! If anyone should have a web-journal, it's you T!
Speaking of blogging ... Jody Harris told me about Jeremy Zawodny, apparently an oft-read blogger of things like Linux, Perl, Open Source and that stuff computer folks like to know, with a good photo gallery. Tim and the Mrs both blog as well, and he recommended me to look at James Lileks - "the Net's original blogger" he says. Site contains a fascinating archive of pre-1970's Americana, ads, images and crapola that will keep you clicking for hours. Two interesting women whom I've never actually met, but recently found their sites while researching blogs. Great reading! Alex the Girl - Very successful freelance writer and speaker, who will teach you the value of rediscovering who you are and following your dreams. I liked ta cried, so inspirational. Claims 40,000 page views a day, and that she's an introvert with brilliant extrovert skills (a quote I am unashamedly stealing for personal use). Aside from her many very nice sites, she lives in Nashville TN, which is also a good way to get linked from this page. Blissfully Bitter Whom I merely thought was a successful writer, but she corrected me in her blog without e-mailing me back (read that, "blew me off"). Her site however, is a wonderful example of how to integrate one's personal life with your professional portfolio, without shortchanging either one. A true "model" for anyone considering a site like this - only she does it much, much better than I - and her writing could one day be award-winning, if she'd just lay off the sauce. I found the above two sites at www.blogger.com and www.blogathon.org - these links will take you to the most artistic, sometimes amazing, usually odd, sites on the whole internet. Personal sites of professional web-designers basically, with a few duds of course. Clicking these links is an adventure you will not soon return from, so sign-up for my mailing list before you do.
