Barely a twinkling in the eye
of a greater infinity --
            and there I am

            Thinking, forming,
    needing to express myself,
        unsure of the means

                 Multiple choice futures stretch
                          before me; pasts hoping only to exist
                      silently audition

                           Closing my eyes to better
                      recognize the truest ones, from these
                        choosing my path

...Slowly gaining ground, struggling to maintain balance, but it's a straight line...

                Eventually falling, free, eager to learn
                     but wasting precious time.
             Thought I had more and it's gone.

Twinkling, choosing, balanced once again,
    pushing myself for just one more step,
               focused on patient
                      Destiny

                              And from beyond the curving
                                        distance, the lesser infinities
                                                peer back, recognizing me...

                                         Urging me on...
